Holly Whittaker

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

HW.jpg

As the Graphic Designer of Borderline Arts, Holly is responsible to creating high-impact designs for a huge variety of products and activities, such as our website, advertising, flyers and much more - i.e. giving Borderline Arts a visual 'brand'.

She is currently working on a brand refresh too, so watch this space!

  • Where are you from?

  • Brighton (now living in Leeds)

  • Why did you choose to volunteer at Borderline Arts

I wanted to use my time to make a positive difference in the world - particularly when it comes to mental health. I was drawn to Borderline Arts because BPD is lesser known by many people and there can be such stigma around personality disorders, so I really wanted to help to be a part of that journey to raise awareness to make a difference to those affected. I also believe the arts offer such wonderful creative expression and outlet, so LOVE the charity vision and what the team are doing!

  • What is your role in Borderline Arts?

    Graphic Designer

  • What is your occupation outside Borderline Arts?

I work as a Creative Designer for an advertising agency.

  • How long have you volunteered with Borderline Arts?

    Since August 2022!

  • What is your favourite colour?

    Teal or yellow!

  • What’s one of your favourite places in the world?

Canada. Such a beautiful country with breathtaking wildlife and views (but pretty happy pitched up in a tent anywhere as long as I'm surrounded by greenery!)

  • What is one of your favourite quotes?

"Be the change you wish to see in the world." (Mahatma Gandhi)

  • Do you have any phobias?

No phobias, but I'm not a fan of the dark!

  • Marmite: love it or hate it?

    Love it!

  • An interesting (or weird) fact about you?

I make miniature clay dogs, called DiddyDogs and quirky earrings (like miniature beans on toast)!

  • Do you have any pets?

Yes - a little cheeky bunny called Neffy, but I would have a farm full of animals if I could!

  • Introvert or Extrovert?

    Shameless introvert! :)
