Graphic Designer

Federico Tear

As the Graphic Designer of Borderline Arts, Federico is responsible to creating high-impact designs for a huge variety of products and activities, such as our website, advertising, flyers and much more - i.e. giving Borderline Arts a visual 'brand'.

Where are you from?
I was born in London, but I am half Italian, half English.

Why did you choose to volunteer at Borderline Arts?
I was interested in supporting Borderline Arts as I found their mission very inspiring. Looking at mental health through the lens of art, music and writing is such a lovely way of educating and reframing perceptions around mental health. I was also interested in developing my understanding of design within the health and well-being sphere.

What is your role in Borderline Arts?
Graphic Designer.

What is your occupation outside Borderline Arts?
I work as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator.

How long have you volunteered with Borderline Arts?
About 4 - 5 months (I think)

Do you have any phobias?
I don’t think it has an official name, but that feeling when you turn the lights off in one room at night, so you have to sprint back to another room with lights on to escape the monsters.

Marmite: love it or hate it?
Love it, though in small quantities, I don’t think I could ever eat an entire spoonful of marmite on it’s own.

An interesting (or weird) fact about you?
I play bass guitar in a donut themed jazz fusion band.

Do you have any pets?
I have 7 chickens 1 dog and 1 cat. The chickens are called (Thumbelina, Gertrude the 2nd, Splash, Penny, Ice cream, Rodeo, and Juniper) The dog is Floss and the Cat is Mabel.

Introvert or Extrovert?
A bit of both, sometimes I feel more extroverted, but generally I am quite quiet.
