Alone
Karla Barnes
No body gets it
The screaming inside my head, yet emotionless
No matter how hard they try
Through no fault of their own
They just can’t!
They aren’t in my head
If I can’t decipher my thoughts
How can anyone else?
Maybe I’m too complex
Too different or difficult to understand
We may never know
All I do know is
Life is cold like the winter breeze
Its lonely like the last puppy left in the shop
Life is tiring
Constant battles, demons to fight, endlessly in my head
Even with loved ones by your side
Ultimately the true fight lies within
