Deep Enigma

By Tracey Robertson

I’m an unknown survivor and a deep enigma

Wading through life fighting the stigma.

There’s always an exception to the forsaken rule

When life and its people are unkind and cruel.

I am a warrior, brave and strong

Fighting for a world where I want to belong.

When kindness comes first and we have world peace

When sufferers can endure the safest release.

Whether the sun rises in the East of the West

Know you are worthy, you’re doing your best.

I can not describe how enough you are

Rest and heal and risk the scar.

Inflict pain on yourself no more, I beg

I’ll cast your mind like a broken leg.

If you get the chance to live - please take it

For those who, sadly, didn't quite make it.
