CREATIVE WRITING GROUP
Having Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) / Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) can feel very isolating, lonely and confusing, particularly when first receiving a diagnosis. So we launched our Writing Group in August 2018.
It's a free group for likeminded adults with a diagnosis of BPD/EUPD to gather in a safe, non-judgmental and welcoming environment, to socialise, have fun and get stuck into some creative writing. The relaxed group focuses on using creative writing as a tool for escapism, fun and self expression.
IMPORTANT: Please note that there will be NO groups this month - February 2023!
We MAY resume groups in March, however this is dependant on whether we can recruit a volunteer to organise and coordinate the logistics / communication and promotion for the workshops. This is to ensure that if/when we resume groups, they will run more smoothly and hopefully be able to reach more people. Sorry for any disappointment! But watch this space for updates! Thanks!
Lauren (an experienced writer, who happens to also have BPD) will be facilitating the sessions.
Creative writing helps those of us with BPD to express ourselves as individuals, manage our emotions and much more.
Workshops include games, writing exercises, discussion and other activities.
Prior experience of writing is not required; anyone of any skill level is welcome to attend!
